GIL STUNNER

I’m Gil Stunner. Photographer. Gearhead. No BS.
Used to wrench on vintage cars and bikes, hands caked in grease. Now I shoot photos, but the game’s the same: keep it real, keep it raw. My work’s all about machines, people, and those split-second moments that hit harder than a V8 at redline.

FROM WRENCHES TO LENSES
No fancy art degree here. I learned my craft in garages, bolts, sweat, and cursing taught me composition and patience. Now I use that to capture the grit of horsepower, heritage, and human stories. No fluff, just truth.

KILL GIL
Not my vibe, just the ego. I don’t do staged Instagram garbage or fake-ass gloss. Real light, real speed, real stakes. If it’s not legit, I’m not shooting it. That’s the deal.

ROCKSTAR? Nah Just Me
I ain’t rockin a costume, it’s how I roll. Think hot rods and motorcycles screaming at TROG, a portrait that stares you down, or the growl of a flat-six at dawn. My shots don’t whisper; they roar.

Bragging? Fine, Whatever
• Photographize called me one of their “100 Inspiring Artists of 2024.” Big whoop.
• Featured in Photographize Monochrome Masters and Street Photo Masters (2025).
• Saatchi Art liked my Coastal Kick for their World Photography Day thing (2025).
• Yapped about my process on TALKdesign Podcast. Garages to galleries, baby.
• Did album covers for Nymrod Federal and shot for car nuts, NYC, Adirondacks, Porsche 356 rallies, TROG, you get it.
Where My Stuff Hangs*
• Gallery Canyons: My work’s on their walls, looking badass.
• Helm + Oar: Residency and rotating curation.
• LDN Collections: They pimp my prints to collectors.
• The Covert Collection: Americana and automotive, done my way. Currently showing in Boonton, NJ, through August 31, 2025.
• Chelsea - New York (Artgroove): Popped up in March 2025, because NYC’s gotta have me.
• Objects and Machines: Grassroots Exhibit, where my stuff fits right in.
• Porsche x Barsky Gallery: Shot “A Porsche Tale” in Hoboken, NJ. Pure horsepower on display.

Projects That Made Noise
• JOKANDA: Shot portraits and stories for Saving Lives Initiative in Sierra Leone. Real people, real impact.
• The Black Cat: Rob Ida’s Jaguar XK120 in fine-art glory, plus other coachbuilt legends.
• Greenwich Concours d’Elegance (2025): Snapped the cars that make jaws drop.
• Coastal Kick: West African football series. Saatchi Art ate it up.

Why My Work’s Not Trash
My prints are archival-grade, built to outlast your ex’s grudges. Limited editions, so they’re special, not some Walmart wall art. Every shot’s got soul, vintage racers, lone wolves, whatever, meant to make you feel something.

Collaborations & Commissions
Want something custom? I work with collectors, designers, and galleries to make bold, cinematic prints or installs that don’t suck. Let’s make your space legendary.

Make Your Walls Less Boring
Grab prints with nostalgia, horsepower, and grit. Built tough, made to hit you in the chest.
